On-Call SANE

Stepping Stone Child Advocacy and Sexual Assault Center is seeking experienced Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) to join a dedicated sexual assault response team. This is an on-call contract position with weekend and/or weekly shifts and on-call pay incentives. The ideal candidate would be responsible for and accountable for providing evidence-based clinical care to designated patients in the Dublin and Oconee Judicial Circuits, has strong assessment skills and the ability to work independently. Stepping Stone is hiring Registered Nurses who hold an unrestricted Georgia RN License. A certificate to practice as a SANE is highly preferred. Requirements: (included but not limited to the following) The applicant is required to have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and a current BLS Certification. Hospital, Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery and/or Home Health experience preferred, but not a requirement. Must live within 60 minutes of Dublin, GA. This is an on-call position requiring crisis intervention for patients reporting an acute sexual assault. The applicant must be able to take calls and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. On-call hours range from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. Ability to perform a Forensic Medical Examination that may include a thorough physical exam, evidence collection, written and photographic documentation, and prophylactic treatment to prevent pregnancy and STIs. Ability to testify as a fact or expert witness. Participation in the coordinated Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) that facilitates medical, advocacy, and legal services, while also providing Trauma Informed Care. Training is provided to obtain the Certificate to become a SANE, in accordance with the IAFN (International Association of Forensic Nurses) and the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Victim Advocate/Therapist

Stepping Stone Child Advocacy and Sexual Assault Center is seeking a dual Victim Advocate/Therapist for our Eastman Office. The Victim Advocate/Therapist role is a full-time position that provides delivery of direct victim advocacy and mental health services to persons victimized by sexual assault and child abuse. This is a primary service role that includes the delivery of crisis intervention support, mental health services and therapy, and victim accompaniment.
